Overview

Facebook requires business verification to maintain a healthy WhatsApp ecosystem. The process takes 5–10 minutes to complete, with a review period of 7–14 business days.

Note: The business information you provide during verification may become publicly visible if your Page has a large US audience or runs ads about social issues, elections, or politics in the US.

Verification steps

1. Go to Security Center in Business Manager
2. Click Start Verification
3. Enter your business details and click Next
4. Select your business from the list (or choose "None of these match" if not found)
5. Confirm your business details
6. Choose a verification method: text message, phone call, or email
7. Enter the verification code you receive
8. Click Submit

If your domain is already verified, you may use domain verification as an alternative method.

If the verification button is greyed out

Solution 1: Check two-factor authentication and business info

1. Navigate to Facebook Business Manager
2. Ensure two-factor verification is set to Admin Users only
3. Click Business Info and make sure all fields are complete

Solution 2: Add a new app

1. Go to FB Manager Settings → Accounts → Apps → Add
2. Create a new App ID — this requires business verification
3. Choose an app type (e.g., "Games") — you can delete the app after verification is complete

Solution 3: Create a gaming app

1. Create a gaming app to trigger the verification flow
2. Delete the app after completing verification
